Guys
If your going to have links off your diary, at least have some more info about the band.
And you need to start paying the bands as most of the ones I talk to (and that's a lot) are not too keen on coming back!

I'm sure you are doing a good job Mark - It's not easy especially in the present economic climate. Appreciate the diary is reasonably full but in my opinion, most of the bands are 'samey' and mostly local (incl some of the tribute bands)- The venue needs more variety to appeal to the music lovers of this area. Acts like 'The Hamsters' - Albert Lee - Geno Washington will always fill similar sized venues. This is only my opinion and appreciate others may not agree - I'm not trying to cause any controversy just merely offering suggestions. The Musos in Hull want and need live venues to succeed.

no updates? how far into the future does the website need to be for people to think its up to date? there are one or two TBC dates in august and sept but aside from that its doing fine.
And yes we were running out of certain products for a while, this was due to inconsistant weeks, sometimes very busy and sometimes very quiet, which, is understandable being a music venue. different bands bring different crowds etc. it seems now we have gotten on top of this "inconsistancy" and are now making headway.
if you have anymore queries please dont hesitate to message me about this.

I was thinking the same... no updates on website no comments, can't get through to anyone.. always running low on beer.. think it's about time someone said what was really happening..

ok so it want full......
i had many bands cancel on very short notice so in fact The Springhead were very lucky to have a band at all. if there were no band on that night more people would have complained. yes lecorum will beback again but this time with more notice than just 5 days. thats right 5 DAYS!! so to have a crowd at all was good, very good.
Sometimes these things will happen. but now often. its just the way hings go. and to mention the crowds dwindling from the springhead...... we were full for guns 2 roses tonight so i think that can be put down to a short notice helping hand from the very good lecorum.........

Lecorum Friday 7th, where was everyone, they were great as expected but the place needs better promotion Mark, the audiences are draining away, cancellations and last minute bookings aren't going to help. I'm sure there's plans to do the place up but when there's a small crowd its looking very tatty. Get the live shows page up to date and give people something to look forward to, I know you have Bryan Adams, Whole Lotta Led, Jef Leppard and others booked. I was really disappointed with the turnout (not your fault) and they deserve a full house next time, put another band on with them (Shine for example - good local following) if they only have a limited set at the moment. Plus why no CD's for sale and why no crisps??
